Saturday In The Park With EllieBee...............

We took our little 3 pound Chihuahua for a little early morning walk and passed a cemetery this morning. Ellie Bee Ribs-Hughes was a puppy mill girl who we got when she was 7 weeks old. She could fit into my pocket when I picked her up that day. She is a lovely girl......though maybe a lil spoiled? She won't allow any of the other pups to come near her and she tells them what to do!! Funny thing is, they all do it, lol. Prince calls her Her Majesty the Queen of the Sofa because she won't let Roxie, Sadie or Gus near her sofa.

Look how sweet she looks peeking out of her little blankie this morning. That's her security sock there with her. She can't face the day or the nightime withut it!! She didn't really want to get up but finally decided to go with us. Look at that darlin face........




While walking, we saw this sign regarding flower removal in the cemetery. Seeing as how today is March 21, I guess their a little bit behind.......




For all of my friends that have been asking, I'm feeling a little better this morning. I'm still running a little bit of fever and my cheek is quite bruised where the surgeon pulled on it. I refuse to let any of this get me down!! I am going to take my low-dose chemo and never miss a beat!! I feel so blessed because I feel like it could have been so much worse. Every day you hear of much worse.
I am one hundred percent confident in my doctor and the prayers and good wishes that I have received from my bloggy friends and my wonderful family. Prince, of course, has been a true Prince through all of this. Every day I feel like I'm living an enchanted life. I wouldn't trade my life for anyone elses in the whole world!!

Let It Snow, Let It Snow!!!

Well, it rarely snows in the part of Georgia that Prince and I live in but yesterday? Surprise, surprise, surprise!! I thought I escaped this when we left the D.C. area. I'm not exactly a snow and cold weather type of girl, but I must say it was a lovely sight to behold.

Sadie, our new pup the Lab/Retriever mix lovin it!! She bounced, pounced, trounced and played like a kiddo until we almost had to make her come indoors.




Ellie, our 3 pound Chi drawing the line as to how far into the yard she was willing to go......which obviously wasn't very far at all!




Sadie again, playing on the deck. She kept slip-sliding away. She's a clumsy little darlin anyway and makes us laugh, laugh, laugh. Constant source of raw entertainment for Prince and I.



Roxie, our new Border Collie that we rescued last week. Notice the huge flakes of snow on her back. Whe wanted to be toweled off and go straight back indoors.




Our front yard. I love that old dairy milk container with pansy's planted in it that graces the old covered well.




A tree in our front yard covered in the white fluff. The tree was just getting her Spring buds. She'll still be okay. It wasn't that terribly cold and I don't think that it will harm her or her Spring beauty.

An old urn that sits outside our front door by the walk way. It looks like it is trimmed with fur doesn't it? Faux fur of course :)



My umbrella tree frosted with snow.



One of my beautiful Forsythia trees covered in snow. I love how the beautiful yellow flowers still peek out through the snow. Forsythia reminds me of my Grandmother who called them Yellow Bell's. I am so happy that I have three nice Yellow Bell's in our yard. I call them all Nene.....



Not much of the snow stuck very well. It drizzled rain and the ground was pretty warm. There's a little left this morning and it still looks quite pretty. The kiddos in the area of course loved it. Cousin Four got to slide down a couple of hills on a float, which of course thrilled him. I wish that I had gotten to see that and I hope that Cousin Sis took a couple of snaps for us to see later. Prince and I do think it looks a little like a nice postcard, but of course we are ready for Spring. We need to get our organic herbs, peppers and veggies into the ground for our organic garden. We've got a lot of work to do around here. But, all in all, I'd say it was a nice respite and we cuddled up in front of the fire with a little hot toddy....or two.
