Charlie Browns New Leash On Life

This is a picture of Charlie Brown and what follows is his amazing story.

Charlie is one amazing boy. He was found as a stray and turned into Animal Control here in our town. This poor boy has not only been shot (yeah, you read it right).... he had also been hit by a car!! His foster mom, a volunteer for The Newnan-Coweta Humane Society, who took him in has 5 dogs and 2 cats had this to say about Charlie; "He's wonderful! He's just perfect! He barks when he has to go out! I just love him!!". She says that when she met Charlie he was even wagging his tail and nudging for a pet even in his debilitating condition.
Charlie's Vet Orthopaedic surgeon has even agreed to do all of his surgeries for half price.

This kind of story reminds me why I love animals. They have amazing spirit's and merely want to live to please us, be shown a little kindness and maybe have a ball thrown for them so they can play a little fetch with their human. They are not here on this earth solely to please us....they bring into our lives unconditional love. Who can't use a little of that I wonder? The fact that the Vet has agreed to do Charlie's surgery at half price helps to somewhat restore my faith in humanity, which is sometimes shaky at best.

Please see the following link to have an update on Charlie's progress: http://charliebrown.chipin.com/charlie-browns-new-leash-on-life.

Shout out to all the awesome volunteer's who work with The Newnan-Coweta Humane Society here in our beautiful City of Homes!!!!!

Steady on,

Reggie Girl

  1. I am always a sucker for an animal story. I fell in love with some kittens yesterday, at a pet store. Little fluffy ginger Toms. DH says no cats, & he could be right, -our dogs would not approve.
Thanks for stopping at my blog, & leaving me a comment! I can always use company at garage sales!

  2. Animals shouldn't be here just to please us. We are companions to each other, that's how it should be.

  3. Poor guy - I will never understand how anyone can look at that face and then mistreat it.

I believe there is a special place in hell for animal AND woem abuser's and it's tied up to chain's by a choke collar and being kicked in the ribs at least once a day by someone bigger than them.......???????........
