Wow, it's already Monday!! The weekend flew by in it's usual flurry of activity. Prince and I don't sit around very much because there's just way too much living to do and too much happiness to be shared.
A few things that I spied around this weekend........
This is my awesome new kitchen table that Prince and my Uncle made for me this weekend. It's made out of old rough and knotty pine and placed on solid walnut table legs that I found on the side of the road. They cut and rounded the corners a little bit then we beat the table top with a hammer to make it really rustic looking. It looks great in the kitchen........
My Hyacinths are blooming in our backyard.....beautiful.........
This is the rusty old windmill in our backyard that we so love.......
This is a sign that I saw hanging on the balcony of an old house in town. Imagine....
An oil canvas entitled "American Soldier" hanging in Expresso Lane where they showcase local artists as well as local talent.......
Our Gus and Sadie asleep outside our backdoor........
Again, Gus and Sadie asleep in the sun. They're both just pups and play so hard that they pass out together and refresh for another round of puppy tag and leapfrog. They are so funny and such a joy to us. Miss Roxie is hiding under the steps. She's still a little unsure of humans but is slowly coming around with love.......
These may all seem like small things but they are the things that warm our hearts and make our world a happier place for us. We love our lives and could not be happier and every day we have grateful hearts.

By the way, saw your "This Day In History" looks like it should be March 16 instead of March 6. Guess that's a little typo in there. I live in the Philippines, by the way. :)

thanks for stopping by my blog; I really enjoyed your post. I love that you take the time to stop and notice things that most people pass by.
ReplyDeleteTo answer your questions, yes we do like where we live, it's quiet and safer from crime and much safer from hurricanes. We got tired of running too and I got tired of my house flooding. How long ago did you leave AL?
I can almost smell the flowers. Gorgeous. I wish mine were blooming. What a beautiful table. I love that.
ReplyDeleteI love the small things - simple pleasures. The smell of hyancinth is soooooo wonderful! I cannot wait until the snow leaves.
ReplyDeleteI always look forward to your blog to see the featured dog at the top! I love your table. We lost a huge old oak to an ice storm and hubby was going to cut it up for firewood, but I salvaged part of it to be the legs of the table for my booth in the kitchen--I haven't found the top yet, but will know it when I see it...I love originality.
