Friday Music Nights at Expresso Lane

Last night Prince and I went to our favorite little coffee shop in Newnan. Our Youth Pastor and really good friend Joe Payton was playing and we wouldn't have missed it for the world!

Imagine, playing and singing songs of praise on a Friday night in a coffee shop downtown. Prince said that this would have never happened in his native beloved England in such a public place and that worship music is mostly confined to churches there. We had the best time and they are awesome singer's.

This is the group singing "How Great Is Our God".......

"Our God is Mighty to Save, He is Mighty to Save.....Forever Author of Salvation"....

This is one of my favorite little fellows in the world, Andrew. He plays the acoustic guitar with his Dad and Mom on Sundays in our Church as they lead praise music. He played and sang a song for his Dad at his Ordination and it was without a doubt one of the most touching things that I have ever witnessed.

"I Can Only Imagine"......me too...........

The beautiful tables set at Espresso Lane for Friday night local musicians. Prince and I love to go hear local talent and we so enjoyed last night. What a blessing it was to be able to go to such a special event. Joe's wonderful smiling parent's were there. His beautiful wife Courtney sang with them a few times. Now, she can really belt it our as well. Other people from our church, Sargent Baptist, were there t show some support and love. I think we all had a fantastic Friday night in our beautiful town of Newnan.

Wishing everyone a weekend filled with much love joy and laughter!!

  1. Hallelujah! I will have a double espresso. Uh, could you put just a touch of brandy in it, for medicinal purposes only.

  7. Sounds like a wonderful night. Too bad that praise music is only played in churches in England. Praise to our Amazing Lord should be played all day, every day! Bless His Holy Name!!!!

  8. Awesome! The church I went to as a teenager has a pastor who also had a band. It was so cool. They would play gigs and stuff (christian music). My favorite was I'll Fly Away.

  21. Great coffee house, I can almost hear the music. The coffee house for music and poetry here is East Bay Cafe, Monday Night Blues. And on Sundays, Seacoast Church rocks out...less acoustically but still a joyful noise.
