Big Hands, Little Feet........

Please click on "The Daily Puppy" :)

An exerpt from "Grandma's Hands".......

"Have you ever looked at your hands," she asked. "I mean really
looked at your hands?"

"Stop and think for a moment about the hands you have, how they have
served you well throughout your years. These hands, though wrinkled
shriveled and weak have been the tools I have used all my life to
reach out and grab and embrace life."

"They have covered my face, combed my hair, and washed and cleansed the
rest of my body. They have been sticky and wet, bent and broken, dried
and raw. And to this day when not much of anything else of me works
real well these hands hold me up, lay me down, and again continue to
fold in prayer"............... ~~~Author Unknown

"Two little feet, ten little toes,
Leave their impression today.
Soon they will wear two little shoes,
And be running and jumping at play".
~~~~Author unknown
  4. Yep, a very "touching" blog. Even Bagman, who is kind of a hell found that this one had soul. I'm trying to put my finger on more puns but need to knuckle down and go to work.
  10. Regie Girl is not allowed to go artsy on me when it is a well known fact that people in certain parts of Newnam, Ga. get 26 hours in a day instead of 24.
    Super shots, my friend.
  11. I've always loved that poem. One of the first things I see when I meet someone is their hands...they tell a whole life story on their own!
  13. a really heart-touching post today, just wonderful. I have to ask time and again, how do you come up with these fab ideas!! I love that sweet picture of the baby feet in their precious shoes. Brings back such good memories of my own kids. As for the hands, I always loved my mom's hands, cuz I would remember all the times that her hands played with my hair or put the hair in a pony tail for school, the times they held me, or wiped away my tears! Hands are wonderful!! I love to look at people's hands all the time, and wonder what stories they might have to tell. Good post, Reggie. Debby
  17. Love the little feet. My oldest grandson once told me that he could tell I was getting old, because my hands looked old..... but he assured me that he was going to take care of me when he got big. He is almost 19 now, wonder if he remembers that..........
