A little note to Prince:
"Yes dear, I do need those shoes. As a matter of fact, I need lots of shoes. And yes honey, I do need to pack 6 pairs of shoes for a 3 day weekend. I just never know what I will need to wear with what on any given day. You have no idea what dilemna this presents at times!! It is far more complicated and important that you can ever imagine. It is a self esteem issue and I know that you wouldn't want my self esteem to suffer. And while we're having this little talk....yes my love, I need the handbag as well............
You're the tops sweetheart!! Mean it!!"
1. Aspire to be Barbie - that chick has everything.
2. If the shoe fits - buy one in every color.
3. Take life with a pinch of salt... a wedge of lime, and a shot of tequila.
4. In need of a support group? - Cocktail hour with the girls!
5. Go on the 30 day diet. (I'm on it and so far I've lost 15 days).
6. When life gets you down - just put on your big girl panties and deal with it.
7. Let your greatest fear be that there is no PMS and this is just your
personality.
8. I know I'm in my own little world, but it's ok. They know me here.
9. Lead me not into temptation, I can find it myself.
10. Don't get your knickers in a knot, it solves nothing; and makes you walk funny.
11. When life gives you lemons in 2009 - turn it into lemonade then mix it with vodka.
12. Remember every good-looking, sweet, single male is someone else's ex-boyfriend!

Great sentiments! And brought a smile to my face this morning :) (which is an achievement cos I feel poorly lol)
ReplyDeleteCute, cute! I am slowly learning I don't need 10 pairs of shoes for one vacation when 7 will do :)
ReplyDeleteGiggles.
Puppy clicked. :D
ReplyDeleteHee,hee,hee,xx♥
Hilarious! I LOVE #4 and #5! Great post Reggie Girl!
ReplyDeleteDrop by my place tomorrow - I have my Shoot Out pics all lined up ;)
I've been pretty good at finding temptation without assistance, myself although I've never aspired to be Barbie. For one thing (and I realize this comment is going to reveal the fact that I have, at least once, actually played with a Barbie Doll) it is impossible to make them stand up by themselves. Although fashion models seem to be able to do it -- at least if there is not a stiff breeze.
ReplyDeletehahaha - i love the one about temptation... god knows how true it is!!!!! xox... annie
ReplyDeleteHaha! I just cleaned my closet yesterday and I was organizing my shoes and thought 'holy cow! when did I get so many pairs of shoes??'
ReplyDeleteLove the support group-cocktail hour w/ friends...so true!
Cute post! :-)
ReplyDeleteThree pair of shoes for any trip :-) I can't wear the high heels. Dress flats, tennis shoes and dressier tennis shoes :-)
Great, great advice. I need it seriously right about now. I'm adopting them all, especially #11 today. Many thanks girlfriend!
ReplyDeleteexcellent post....as always!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the smile!

I bought two gold pairs this week... one casual, a wedge and one steal! Kate Spade $200 open toe with a kitten heel for $49 at TJX. Every girl needs gold shoes right?!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is #8!
ReplyDeleteSuper post, Reggie Girl. I am not a shoe person because cameras and shoes do not go well together. I do have a hard time finding shoes that don't look like LOLTS (little old ladies tennis shoes). I like to look cool, but comfortable shoes don't come in "cool", so I opt for cute. Luckily, I can wear a kid's large shoe. Some of those are so cute, and they come with lights and little dingalings.
ReplyDeleteEvery once in awhile I do have to dress up and people have to do a double take to figure out who I am.
I am all for joining that support group.
Oh, you are going to kill me. I had an opportunity to tell Oprah's boyfriend about our town shoot outs, and hand him my blog card, but my professional ethics thumped me on he back of the head.
He was a speaker at a local college, and I pulled the assignment. Reggie Girl, I was just a few inches from him at times, all the time wanting to slip a card into one of his pockets, but knowing it would not have been professional.
Well, I am sure we are getting so big that Oprah will discover us on her own. I think we would make a good story.
Love this post....love new shoes, too!!
ReplyDeleteLOL - this post is just awesome! I am going to read it to Louis - it's sandal season, and there are two pair I have my beady little eyes on!
ReplyDelete:D
I love shoes...my mom loves shoes. She has like 300 pairs. No joke crazy.
ReplyDeleteI buy in every color too when i find shoes that fit and are cute.
All points are very true!
ReplyDeleteREggieGirl, you never fail to top your last best post with yet another GREAT one. Love the sentiments, they had me both nodding in agreement over here, and laughing until my face muscles ache! As for shoes, I love them to, but these old beat up knees of mine will tolerate nothing but sneakers now. How boring is that!! I sigh when I go thru the shoe store now.
ReplyDeleteLOL...I'm in hysterics...Love this post!!!! Thanks! I needed that!!!! ~Janine XO
ReplyDeletethis is always and issue with Camillo - he likes me to be 'dressed' but complains that my bag is a huge one and he carries a weeks worth in a computer sized bag...HHAAAHA - I can imagine Patty in those tennis shoes that have a flashing lite with each step - then we could always fine her in a crowd. Sadly for me fashion has gone the way of comfort - don't know why we can't have both. BUT I did by a beautiful purple dress that will require a new pair of strappy silver shoes - to h... with comfort I want to really dress just one more time.
ReplyDeleteLove this post....love new shoes, too!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the laughs RG!
ReplyDeleteHa, ha, ha, ha, so right. I've always said, it's so easy to be a man: one pair of brown shoes, one pair of black shoes and a pair of sneakers....they're set!
ReplyDeleteI love #s 8 and 9. By the way, how do I see the other Friday shootout blogs? I don't really think I want to post (maybe once in a while), but would like to see the others. I know, what a computer illiterate! Love ya,
ReplyDeleteDee
I am so glad you gave me a list of things to do and permission to get more shoes! Just what I needed!!
ReplyDeleteHey Reggie Girl
ReplyDeleteI love those red shoes .
Never knew it was a self esteem problem.
I Can't wait to tell hubby my new reason for
buying more shoes ,and of course you have to have six pairs for three days .
You never know what the weather will do :)
Blessings to you .
Hugs
I have three pair of shoes and one pair of boots to my name.
ReplyDeleteMy wife will go through at least that many just on a Saturday.
What is it with women and shoes? I remember a woman at work telling me the first thing she notices about a man is his shoes!!
It's a wonder I wasn't invisible to her (or maybe I was?)
ROFLOL twice, i am hysterical...great!!
ReplyDeletegot your care package - thank you so much, especially for the kind words. hugs and kisses from Missouri City
ReplyDeleteI don't know...#12: "Remember every good-looking, sweet, single male is someone else's ex-boyfriend!"
ReplyDeleteI think that like all used car lemons, all ex-boyfriend lemons need to somehow need to be permanently tattooed as problematic, to prevent the next unsuspecting poor victim.
I loved it! I'm sure your Prince knows you by now!
ReplyDeleteSince I had the girls my feet are too wide to fit in fancy shoes. Now flip flops I have about 20 pairs of them.
ReplyDeleteOkay... I am in for Shoot-out!!!!!!!!!! See you tomorrow!
I'm also not a shoe person like Patty. My feet just won't cooperate with high heels, LOL. Great post. It put a big smile on my face.
ReplyDeleteSo great to see you around the 'hood. Reggie, I was just at Tar's... I was so sorry to hear you're doing Chemo. Hope you are doing okay. Hugs, girl!
ReplyDeleteI do have a passion for shoes myself. This time of year got to get ready for the sandals. Need some red toenails.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I am going left field... why is it I always get the last bite of pasta sauce full of red pepper flakes...and then my mouth and throat are on fire! Fire, that reminds me of Steven Tyler, who is hotter than a pepper sprout! Girl you are too funny...pass me a glass of that wine please :)
ReplyDeleteKeep on truckin woman...
I do not live far from you across the river, in Douglasville. I am pleased to see your blog is a big success to have 250 followers. Congratulations, I have not seen any blog doing that well. Keep it up.
ReplyDeleteKim
I was visiting Mildred and rad yur post on the rabbits, I thought you must have been an Aussie. It is the possums that make havoc of our gardens.I liked my visit .
