"And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre."
"And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus"
Luke Chapter 24 verses 2 and 3
"And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you"
Luke Chapter 24 Verse 36
They may have beaten him, starved him, plucked the hairs out of his beard and crucified him but then came Sunday!!
Christ our Lord has risen today.
I serve a risen Savior, He's in the world today
I know that he is living, whatever men may say
I see His hand of mercy, I hear his voice of cheer
And just the time I need him, he's always near
He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today
He walks with me and talks with me
Along life's narrow way
He lives, He lives
Salvation to impart
You ask me how I know He Lives
He lives within my heart
Wishing you all the most blessed Sunday and Easter that you can behold.
Steady On
Reggie Girl

ReplyDeleteHappy Easter to you, gal. Perfect picture for a perfect day.
ReplyDeleteHi Reggie,
ReplyDeleteOne of the most comforting things I have ever heard were the words, "I will never leave you or forsake you"; nothing tops that for me.
Thank you for reminding me that He lives.

Happy Easter Reggie girl and many belssings to you.
ReplyDeleteHe lives indeed!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter my friend!
Reggie, Happy Easter! May God's richest blessings and miracles be poured out on you and yours! This is a terrific post.
ReplyDeleteIf you happen by my Shoot-out blog you will find twenty different links to those I have been told are joining us. There are a couple, however, that have not posted a shoot-out.
Also listed in the post are a few that I have not found yet. It is evolving. I think, now, I will start inserting blogspot addresses as the search info. Give me as much info as possible on a new shooter, and I will just keep adding to the list. They will be in alphabetical order.
In answer to your inquirey about fishing. I don't go out deep sea fishing for "Red Snapper" very often. However, we do catch lots of Red Fish in the river, along with many others. If you ever have the urge to come down for a little R&R let me know. You can come and stay with us. We'll wear the fish out!! Walk By Faith! Gordon
Thank you for the good wishes! Happy Easter to you too.
ReplyDeleteWe're trying to teach our kids about the real meaning of Easter, but it's kind of difficult to speak when our mouths are full of chocolate.
Happy Easter to you!
ReplyDelete"And they found not the body of the Lord Jesus."
ReplyDeleteChrist's resurrection changed everything. All the negative expectations... they found not. All the hopelessness that death ends it all... they found not. All the tragedy of a perfect life snuffed out... they found not.
An empty tomb, a resurrected Lord, hope, expectation, possibility, forgiveness, mercy, and a companionship that even death could not end. That's what they found.
That's what we've found. We've found a Friend.
(What a friend we have in Jesus!)
A blessed Sunday... back at ya!
Don
Oh Reggie, Thinking of "He Lives" makes me think of my sweet mother, God rest her soul. That was one of her all-time favorite hymns.
ReplyDeleteAND--one of the best things about Easter to me is going to the Sunrise Service and singing "Christ the Lord is Risen Today"......
Great post...
Lots of Hugs, Reg..

Here's wishing you a blessed Easter as well! We are busy cleaning up after a huge storm last night that blessed us with ping-pong sized hail. Which means we'll most likely be getting a new roof. All things happen for a reason...
