******Please, please, please click on the Daily Puppy****

My organic garden is looking pretty good these days. I can't wait until this weekend so that I can plant my tomatoes, pepper, squash, peas, beans and corn. I always wait until after Good Friday to plant those things.

Right now, I do have a few winter veggies growing out there......

Rows of lettuce, broccoli and red onions..............

Early dividend broccoli.....................

Romaine Lettuce...................

Fresh Asparagus is coming up everywhere.........

Cutting fresh asparagus for lunch. Sauteed in a little butter with fresh garlic and slivered almonds.....delicious!!!.............

Gosh those asparagus spears look delicious - one of my very favourite things - I like to chargrill mine till they're just crisp still, then serve them with some shaved Parmesan and a splash of good quality Balsamic vinegar.... sigh! and the rest of your vegetables also look excellent - you've a green thumb Reggie Girl! Warmest wishes to you (oh yes, I clicked on the puppy!!) Vxx

  4. Your post today reminded me of a quote I had on my blog: "Gardening, yoga, bubble baths, medication...and I still want to smack somebody!"
    LOL!

  5. Nothing foolish about fresh asparagus with butter and almonds! I'm so jealous, our yard is covered in snow and the only gardening I do is indoors.

  6. You make me so hungry showing your garden! Nalley tells of a field of asparagus that grew next to his grandma's property in MI when he was little. Also, your puppy of the day...my blog friend KathyB @ Spot on Cedar Pond has Vizslas. They are very pretty! Enjoy the week.

  8. My garden does not grow! I had rather play when I am not shooting than work in the yard. But when am I not shooting?

Maybe I could shoot a garden growing (time-lapse).

    I love asparagus!

We have this huge farm up the road and they grow everything. Their produce is just wonderful, and the owners gives me the best deals.

One day I was shooting their tomatoes for the newspaper, and there were hundreds of tomatoes on the ground. I asked her is someone was coming along to pick them up, and she said it was too costly; they let them rot.

When my eyes got big she told me to take whatever I wanted, so I went home with a truck full of tomatoes. I was like a kid at an Easter egg hunt.

She did the same with corn that was going to be plowed under.

    Now, I am hungry.

  20. Oh, I am so jealous! My garden is drowning due to all the rain the last week. It has standing water in it and it's raining right now. All I can do is pray over it. Then I'll cry it it's all gone. But it is early enough to replant most things. I'm trying to look on the brighter side of things.

How do I sign up for the Friday shoot outs??

  25. So glad I found your blog. Love your photos of fresh asparagus -- I've got some right now ready to roast for supper. Looking forward to being a regular visitor here.

  26. Oh, red onions. You got me there. I am a red onion fan, especially in salads. And you're growing your own! I feel jealous. Many thanks.

    Greetings from London.

  28. Oh you are so good. I'm way too lazy to have a garden. I'll stick to my little flower garden.

  29. Boy, what I would do for a teeny plot of measly dirt. I have nothing since I'm here in San Francisco.

    Love the daily puppy feature...

  30. I like today's Daily Puppy! Actually, I love every day's daily puppy. Today's dog looks like a very happy dog.

Glad to see your garden. Cool to know you guys just pick vegetables in your gardens! We have nothing here but cement and more cement LOL.

  31. Your garden is growing just fine! It looks grand! Ours is still covered with snow..:(

  32. Can you come here and help me get mine planted? I'm so far behind. Often people won't plant asparagus because it takes three years to get a good crop. But if you do plant it, three years goes by quite quickly. Such fun to get your hands dirty - I can never find my gloves.

  33. You're such a woman of substance. How can you ever cope up with all of that..?! Planting, catering, shooting for photo shoot outs, taking care of Prince, painting and looking after those lovely dogs.. Such a nice lad.
