I love Tuesdays because I love to show you my beautiful hometown of Newnan, Georgia. We have such a beautiful, charming and friendly town. We love to sit in rocking chairs on our front porches, sit under the stars at night for outdoor concerts or grand fireworks during the summer and we love to have visitor's. So next time you're in town.....please stop by and I'll give you a real grand tour in person.
Things I spotted this week while out and about.......
One of our City Of Homes signs going into the city limits........
A picturesque horse farm with a winding drive that leads to a pond......
A really old tin building that I think is cool........
Cousin Sis and Uncle Baby. A friend of our's son took this picture with my camera while we were all out listening to our friends play music at our favorite coffee shop Espresso Lane.......
The proprietor of Arnalls Grocery, the local feed and seed store in Newnan where I buy all of my gardening seeds and supplies. Look at that sweet grandson of theirs.....
The orginal movie projector from The Alamo Movie Theater downtown on the Square......
Panoply Interior Design..........
The Dr. Thos J Jones building in historic downtown Newnan........
I loved this display out front of one of my favorite stores The Other Side Of The Moon. What a cool place to shop.......
The "Hip To Be On The Square" wall collage in Fabiano's Pizza. And it is hip to be on the square in Newnan where all of the action is..........
I love See Rock City birdhouses and couldn't resist this shot.........
A grand Weeping Willow I spotted. Isn't it a beauty?.........
Thanks for having a little visit with me in Newnan today. We hope to see you live and in person real soon. We can all go be hip on the square together!!
Come on down and see us y'all...........

ReplyDeleteI love the tour of your home town. I will sure to let you know if I'm going to be in the area.
ReplyDeleteGreat selection of photos this week. I always enjoy seeing Newnan through your eyes!
ReplyDeleteI'd leave the "big city" life anyday for a place like your live! Absolutely breathtaking! I'll always be a country girl at heart!
ReplyDeleteLove the winding drive and LOVE the willow tree..they hold fond memories for me...always wanted one in my yard.
ReplyDeleteI love touring your town. That willow tree just blew me away!
ReplyDeleteFun pictures Reggie girl!! (always tempting us...). :D
ReplyDeleteLooks so cool, I love that willow tree, oh and I wanna see inside that cloting store!
ReplyDeleteThe 'City of Homos' sign looks vintage. I mean, "homes"...
ReplyDeleteBarn and dress shop. I especially like those. Newnan sure has changed since I was there last.
ReplyDeleteI think we should each get one of those dresses and go visit Butler and Bagman, or at least steal that little red car and go for a joy ride.
Except, that I don't wear dresses much. Kind of hard to lie on the ground or climb on top of my car for some of the newspaper shoots I do in a dress. You never know when that next shot will be around the corner.
And there is always a shot around the corner when you are in a dress and don't have a camera. Isn't that right, Mark?
Oh you have some awesome pics here Midlife and about your comment on my blog.....of course yes... you can join for dinner too:)....and i dint understand what do you mean by Friday Shoot-outs :( though i saw a few pics of different hotels and stuff in your blog
ReplyDeleteI love me some "American Pie"

the winding drive with the curving fence is really nice, but my heart was really with the house BEHIND the willow, can I see it in Color please?
ReplyDeleteI got your signed photo today!
Hi there! I've spend alot of time in Fitzgerald GA, in Irwin County GA. Is that near you? My former mother in law still lives in Ocilla Ga, also in Irwin county. She and I still like each other and I talk to her often.
ReplyDeleteThat place looks like my idea of Heaven - can I come???
ReplyDeleteSuch excellent photos!! Loved the tour...thanks for sharing! :)
ReplyDeleteLove seeing pictures of towns that I know nothing about. Georgia is way high on our list of places to go when we hit the road in "Tubster" the motorhome. Maybe next year!!!
ReplyDeleteMake you laugh? Horse walks in to a bar & the bartender says, "Why the long face?" I know, I know. An oldie for sure.
Dear Reggie, very nice post with marvellous pictures. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes,
Rosana
I'm beginning to look forward to Tuesdays AND I'm falling in love with Newnan. I'm a huge fan of Weeping Willows as well. I'm thinking I need to get one!
ReplyDeleteWe love our Feed and Seed too! Thanks as always.
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful willow, Reggie - one of my favorite trees.
ReplyDeleteI like your pics of your Home Town. I was in Aiken, South Carolina recently and it looked a bit like that there. The dress shop looks interesting. I like small, specialist shops a lot.I'm only just discovering America, so find these sorts of posts very 'cool'.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Star
"Cousin Sis and Uncle Baby"... You couldn't make that up--perfect!
ReplyDeleteYour posts are so welcoming and lovely - you make me want to move to Newnan! It's so great to hear someone who is so happy and in love with their surroundings. It's very rare! And inspiring.
ReplyDeleteI love the winding drive picture!! they're all so wonderfully representative of your town, it seems lovely :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know how you do it but you keep coming up with something new to show us in your town. It really is a lovely place.
ReplyDeleteSome great shots, as always. I like the old projector!! We have an old movie theatre in my hometown and it is now under the historic preservation act, I am so glad. Cuz it is so cool looking, and filled with lots of good memories of going to the movies as a kid! hope all is well. debby
ReplyDeleteOh, that first shot was amazing! Great stuff. Many thanks.
ReplyDeleteGreetings from London.
Wow, I love the pictures! I want to eventually move to a small town with a warm, friendly atmospheres, where we can *safely* have carnivals and shows and neighborhood get-togethers. I'm slightly jealous. :P
