Wacky Wednesday's When We Wonder Why????

********PLEASE CLICK ON THE DAILY PUPPY.....PLEASE? PRETTY PLEASE???********

Well, it's Wednesday and I'm wondering about a few things........actually lots of things but cyberspace doesn't have enough time to address all the 'why's' running around in my head. I'll just go with a few for today.......

Okay......why? I mean, don't get me wrong....I really love all of the vivid colors and someone took out lots of time knitting this scarf for this tree. But why? Was the tree cold? Did the scarf go with a new hat or coat? Is this tree trying to make a fashion statement and if so what statement is it trying to make? I'm also really wondering if the person who did this has enough time left on their hands to come paint our barn? We'll supply lunch...........actually, it's growing on me (Get it??Growing on me.....never mind :) I really do like it

Well now, this gives new meaning to "Why did the chicken cross the road" doesn't it?. Is he just playing hard to get(B&B)? I've personally never seen a dude try to out run this many females unless.....he must have been caught red handed in another hen house? Maybe the girls heard him talking on his cell phone and just misunderstood his end of the conversation?. Why isn't he just facing up to the music? Why doesn't he just buy them some new jewelry or roses? Why better yet, doesn't he just buy them a big ole name brand bag of cracked corn and beg for forgiveness? Personally, I'd let bygones be bygones for a great big canary diamond.......and I do mean a b~i~g canary diamond..........

Who is your REAL friend? Ladies..........try this experiment. Put your dude and your pup in the trunk of your car at the same time for one hour (you might want to try this before it gets really, really hot outside). When you open that trunk up......which one is going to be the happiest to see you? One's doing to be wagging it's tail.....and the other one? Maybe not so much. I think that maybe you should only try this one at home. There's some kind of crazy law about keeping people in the trunk of your car against their will and besides other people just won't understand that you are merely conducting an experiment.........

Hope every one's getting their snaps together for "Friday Shoot-Out". The subject is "MY HOMETOWN NATIVE FOODS & RESTAURANTS" chosen by the smokin hot Loida in China . Take any pics you like....the food you and your family eat, restaurants and/or bars in your town. There are absolutely no rules in the shoot-out's and everyone is welcome. We invite any and everyone to join in the fun. We have a pretty cool gang........I'm throwin gang signs right now as I'm posting this. Come one, come all!!! If you would, just list "Friday Shoot-Out" in the title of your post so that we can all enjoy your picture's. Pretty simple eh? If either Gordon @ Friday Shoot Outs From Florida or beautiful, funny GingerV @ Flowers and More or Patty @ Crisfield don't have you listed yet on their blog list, we'll get you on there as soon as we know you're participating. I've picked up a lot of you via comment's.

  2. OH my Gawd! the beautiful and funny .... I will need to stop while I am ahead. I like you questions - a scarf for a tree.... I hate the photos you see of homeless without coats in the dead of winter - do you think they could have used a sweater made with such loving care?

  3. That post was Hilarious! Love the pictures. THanks for sharing those. Crazy...tree, huh?

  4. Why would anyone take such inordinate amounts of time to knit a scarf for a TREE!?!!?!

That chicken pic reminded me of the old Foghorn Leghorn cartoons, where he was chased by so many ladies that he had no choice BUT to run away. Maybe that's good ol' Foghorn in that pic!

  5. LOL, what a very interesting tree! I just wonder what was running in that person's mind when he decided to knit some scarfs for this tree!

Haha, you always make me laugh with your comments and posts! You're right about the dog/human experiment! At least dogs are happy to see you, makes you also cheerful seeing that wagging tail!

  8. Good morning Reggie,

"if the person who did this has enough time left on their hands..." This looks like a group effort Reggie. That's very detailed for one person but maybe they actually have that MUCH time.

So many hens...so many choices!Love the pics and narratives Reggie.

  10. Great post and love that tree wrapped up. If I had just a fraction of time that person took on that tree I would be so happy!

  11. That scarf tree is insane? I'm trying to wrap my brain around how they did that?

  12. WHY is the right question here! Now give us the answers please!!
    Blessings on your TAX DAY!!

  13. Scarf for a tree? Why? Maybe it's someone's idea of art.
That trunk experiment reminds of a car I used to encounter on my morning (or mourning) commute when we lived in Connecticut. The little yellow signs that read, "Baby on board" were all the rage. This woman had a sign in her back window that said, "Ex in trunk." A neck tie hung out from under the trunk lid. She must have been one bitter gal.
The chicken pic is the greatest!

  15. I've heard of tree lovers and huggers, but that's a bit much, don't ya think?

  16. Hmmm, the sweater tree left me without anything to say. Though you have to wonder how it even came up to knit a tree sweater. I can totally understand why it got to that extreme, I just want to know why it began in the first place.

I love the idea of the trunk experiment. Though I totally know the answer, ha! Love your blog! Love your dedication to the animals too. We foster puppies and its a tough job with just a couple, I commend your commitment!!!

  18. Cute post, Reg.... That person who 'colored' that tree really does have too much time on his/her hands. I hope they will come and paint your barn. AND---we all know that our puppies are ALWAYS happy to see us --no matter the circumstances... They do love us REGARDLESS...

    Hugs,
    Betsy

  19. Hey girlfriend, leave it to you to come up with some whacky pictures like those, love love love the tree scarf! Who thinks of things like that!! Anyway, I have not been on blogger for a few days, so very unusual for me. Just too much going on with the kidlets home for easter break from school, and then when I wanted to get on, my computer was giving me some troubles, putting even more gray hairs on this ol' head of mine! Hope all is well with you. The knee is coming along, I am up on 2 legs now, albeit with some support from the crutches. But I am getting there! :-) Looking forward to Friday's shoot out. Just keep pestering me, and I will join you, just to shut you up. :-) Hugs from here, Deb

  20. Okay, I tried it and after 4 hours the husband was wagging his tail. At least I think it was his tail and the dog was barking at me. Should I have left them in there longer?

  21. I remember when Christo put all this pink fabric around the islands of Miami Beach. I could have thought of a gazillion better ideas on how to spend money. Obviously...someone thought that knitting a scarf for a tree was a better idea!!

  22. From the sublime to the ridiculous in the photos! The puppy of the day is quite adorable.

  23. I can't imagine anyone foolish enough to paint a tree any color, let alone all of these colors (although I do like these colors). Thanks for stopping by my place.

  25. I love love the chicken photo ...

AND I could be wrong (again hahaha) but ...
that tree scarf if in the colours of the Australia Aborigine.... I mean that's the exact yellow/red/black combo ...that Australian Aboriginals wear to be proud and identify themselves and it's the same as the flag....

I think that's what it is ...a piece of aboriginal art.

But as I said ...I could be wrong.

  28. Crocheted tree clothing-what will they think of next? Pretty artful, though

  29. I agree with Ginger, time better spent clothing the poor instead of trees. However it is quite beautiful. ANd yes I make sure to click on the cutie dog links so the shelter can get their donations! :o)

  31. Okay now why again are we sticking our guy in the trunk with the dog? Cuz I just think that's asking for more trouble than I wanna see in my lifetime. The only thing he'd be wagging would be me against a tree trunk!

    ReplyDelete
  32. I buy clothes for the one who would be happiest to see me if I put her in the trunk and so why not clothes for trees.;-)

  33. CHOMPER!!

I sent him to my sister-in-law and my dad. They have dog addiction issues.
